Thames hosts the SS5 as a regular, low-key, cross country run over a lovely 5 mile course on Wimbledon Common. There are no prizes just a well-marked course, plenty of support, results soon after the race and a free refreshments (coffee, muffins, fruit etc) afterwards.

Dash for the Splash
The Dash for the Splash is a tough 10k cross country race for those who want to get wet and muddy. Thames hosts it on Wimbledon Common in February when the Common is usually at its muddiest and includes a water splash through Beverley Brook.

Thames hosts the Parkland Relays in Richmond Park on a Wednesday evening in late-May or early-June. It is a cross-country relay event for mens and ladies teams and attracts around 100 teams. After race refreshments and prize giving are held at our Clubhouse.
Thames hosts four club “Challenge” races across the season, which are open to all members.
Thames hosts five club Handicaps across the season, which are open to all members.
Thames is proud to host the annual Oxford-Cambridge University Race. We have hosted the gentlemen’s race every year (barring the war years) since 1896 and the ladies’ race since its establishment in 1976. By tradition, these races are always held on the first Saturday of December and are fiercely fought and of a very high quality.
This is a long standing race hosted by Thames for the alumni of schools with strong cross country running traditions. It started in 1953 and has grown in popularity, now attracting around 300 runners. Normally held in December.
