Kingston Breakfast Run - 30/3/08

You have to get up pretty early in the morning to catch out Thames runners. Unflustered by the unpleasantly early start to the Kingston Breakfast 8.2 mile race, Toby Pearson was first home and David Moore was first vet.


Wimbledon Audi 10km - 30/3/08

SLH's Jason Simpson set a fine pace ahead of Thames men Neil Chisolm and Tom Kingsnorth in second and third spot. Lucy Hasell kept up her record of wins here with a speedy 34:17.

BPTT / WCTT 5km - 29/3/08

The going is getting rough under foot over at Wimbledon, making for slower times, but more fun! Thames men and women put in solid performances led home by Ian Higgins in fifth and Alison Carpenter second lady. Over at Bushy Park it was a little easier under foot, and was good to see Andy Howse returning to his old patch.

Two Oceans Marathon - 22/3/08

Matt and Wendy Lynas swapped the wintery weather of the UK for Cape Town with Matt running an impressive 3:44:07 for the 56km ultra marathon and Wendy running 2:48:51 in the half marathon.


Fleet Half Marathon - 16/3/08

Neil Chisolm secured a fine win in windy conditions with a time of 1:10:14.


Hastings Half Marathon - 16/3/08

Naomi Warner was in fine form again today to place fourth lady with 1:20:16 with TH&H second claimer Alice Braham placing second lady in 1:16:57.


Bath Half Marathon - 16/3/08

John Macfarlane was top placed TH&H man over the Bath course with a solid 1:08:02 closely followed by Andy Weir in 1:09:07 Toby Pearson with a pb of 1:12:09 David Symons in 1:12.17 and Alex Gaskell in 1:14:58. Alison Carpenter led home the TH&H ladies with a great V50 time of 1:29:16 with Charlotte Saunders not far behind and Natalie and Wendy making up the TH&H ladies quartet. Lucy Hasell also ran well to place high up the ladies field in 1:16:16 running for first claim club Bristol.


WCTT 5km - 15/3/08

Ian Higgins was in good form as usual and Richard Weston made a suprise debut to run 28:28.


Brentwood Half Marathon - 9/3/08

Team TH&H / AUS had a good pay day at Brentwood, with Phill Sly wining in a course record of 1:07:07 and Naomi Warner placing third lady, also inside the previous ladies course record in 1:20:33.

In form Liz Stavreski bettered her second spot in the recent 5mile handicap to take first spot ahead of Andy Weir.

Cape Town Trail Races - 2/3/08

Julia Bleasdale completed her run of recent victories with another good run in South Africa to win the last of a series of tough trail races.


Reading Half Marathon - 2/3/08

There were some swift runners in action this weekend over traditional pre London race the Reading Half, and the Thames men ran well with Phil running 1:06:12 for 7th, John MacFarlane 1:08:08 for 12th and both Toby Pearson and Chris Wrighton running sub 1:13:00 for 44th and 45th places.


North German Championships - 2/3/08

News from Alex Cook (nee Richmond), who is running well under the watchful eye of Robin Dickson, and placed second with 13.12 in a close finish at the 3.5km hilly and muddy North German Cross Country Champs.


Inter-club match - 1/3/08

Thames welcomed runners from Kingston and Poly, Stragglers, Bank of England, Westminster School and the Stock Exchange Athletic Club to run over the 5-mile course.
