A bumper 26 Saltires were in action in weekly parkruns and there were an unprecedented four individual victories in the shape of Nic Gould, James Hoad, Phill Tedd and James Meiklejohn.

At Wimbledon Park, Rupert Ferguson was first in 08:45. At Surbiton, Lucy Molden was 31st in 12:05.
65th Alumni Race - 16/12/17
On a dry damp day on Wimbledon Common, a record field of 280 runners from 38 teams took on the challenging 5 mile course. After a week of rain, the conditions were perfect for muddy cross-country. No one got lost in the notorious Butts and all came home more or less in one piece, to the credit of the Thames pioneers. The first fourteen finished within 30 minutes with the noble back markers in just over an hour.
South of Thames Championship, Aldershot - 16/12/17
Ruth Wallance was 106th (8th woman), Anri Cohen was 77th (34th woman), and Andrea Stehlikova was 199th (49th woman).

13 Saltires toed the line for a snowy and cold Second Sunday 5 No. 32. With 70 runners overall, new member, Jonathan Potts, led us home with Iain Sheridan not far behind. Full results below.

At Wimbledon Park, Seb Cockerell finished 2nd in 08:42 and Imogen Cockerell finished 6th in 10:03. At Surbiton, Lucy Molden finished 5th in 12:00.

Fifteen Saltires were in action in weekly parkruns. Liz Stavreski took an individual victory at Yokine.
Southern Masters' Cross-Country Championships, Oxford - 9/12/17
The Thames Masters continued to sweep all before them. Martin Shore was a strong 7th in the M40 race with second claimer Howard Bristow taking the Silver. In the M45 race Simon Baines and Paul Cheetham just missed out on the medals coming 4th and 5th respectively which gave Thames a comfortable team gold in the M40-49 age group by 14 points. The margin of victory for the M50-59 age group was only slightly less (12 points) with Matt Lynas 23rd, Ben Reynolds a great silver and Andy Weir brilliantly topping the podium 7 seconds ahead of him. Richard Turner was 9th in the M60-69 race (4th M65), Richard Pitt 18th (10th M60) and Rhodri Davies 27th for the team bronze. Paul Newby was a fine 12th in the M70 race. For the Ladies, Vikki Filsell was 9th in the W50 race and Anna Garnier took a great silver in the W60 race.

John Bull was 31st in 32:18.
Southern Inter-Counties Championships, Oxford - 9/12/17
Ruby Woolfe, running for Cambridgeshire, was 20th in 21:08. Victoria Barthelmess, running for Surrey, was 40th in 21:52.
