Eighteen Thames men and ladies enjoyed a beautiful morning at our June Second Sunday 5. Anisse took the top honours with Andrea first in for our ladies. Well done too to Alexi Cross who took 4th place as he gets ever faster each month. THH results below.

185 runners Dash The Splash
The sun shone, and 21 Thames men and ladies took part in our annual Dash For The Splash! 10k, help as part of Wimbledon and Putney Commons’ 150th anniversary celebrations. Richard Ollington ran out the winner ahead of Ashley Middlewick. Full results on the Dash website and THH results below. Great to welcome our Second Sunday 5 back
It was a pleasure to host runners back for our April Second Sunday 5. It was a lovely sunny spring day and 22 Thames members either toed the line in person or ran a virtual five miles. January’s Second Sunday 5
It was a cold and frosty weekend so perfect for the first ‘lockdown’ Second Sunday 5 of the year. 23 saltires clocked a time, with Nic Gould and Jess Davies coming out on top. Full results for all 61 runners are at www.secondsunday5.com and THH results in the link below.
December’s Second Sunday 5
It was great to be running on the Common again, even if the weather was far from festive. Well done to Richard Ollington and Jess Davies who were fastest Thames runners over the course, with 29 Thames members in all completing the course. THH results in the link.
November’s virtual Second Sunday
Well done to Iain Sheridan and Ellen Weir who took the THH honours at November’s SS5. 26 Thames men and ladies took part in our virtual run – with lovely autumnal running – mist burning through for a beautiful day. THH results in the full link.
October Second Sunday 5 / opening handicap
For the first time in seven months, we were back racing on The Common and it was really great to see everyone again. Social distancing provided a semi-chasing format to October’s Second Sunday 5 and opening handicap with runners starting at 20 second intervals, fastest first and a new course which worked well. Richard Ollington and Charlotte Mason were fastest over the course with excellent runs too from Bertie Daniels and new signing Felicity Hayward. Combined results from ‘on course’ and virtual runs are below – with handicap results to follow very shortly.
Ellen wins our September SS5
Very well done to Ellen Weir who was fastest overall in September’s SS5. While the appeal of virtual racing may be waning a little, 17 saltires took part – some over the improved course, most on a range of different courses. All enjoyed the glorious late summer weather. THH results in the link.
August Second Sunday 5
It was another baking hot weekend and 15 Saltires continued the virtual SS5 tradition. Matt Jones was fastest, clocking second place overall, with Iain Sheridan showing the benefits of lockdown training in a smoking hot time. Full Thames results in the link.
July’s Second Sunday 5
Well done to Kevin Bonney and Andrea Stehlikova who were fastest for Thames over this month’s Second Sunday 5. Seventeen Saltires did the run, out of a total of 60 runners.
