Impressive individual performances on Wimbledon Common

Thames were on home turf for the second Surrey League of the season, which saw mixed team success, but some fabulous individual results.

For the women, Ruby Woolfe took her second 2nd place of the season and was followed home by Beth Murray in 6th. Their top-10 performances were invaluable to the team effort, though the ladies have their work cut out to make it back to the sharper end of the league table in the New Year.

On the men’s side, Paddy Roddy made a return to cross country after his impressive run at the London Marathon last month. Still in fine form, he led the team home in 18th place, followed by a very fast-finishing MacGregor Cox, in 20th. With 22 Thames men out on the course this weekend, the gents solidified their strong mid-table position.
