London Champions 🥇🏅🥈🥉 A successful Sa London Champions 🥇🏅🥈🥉

A successful Saturday saw both our men’s and women’s teams crowned London Cross Country Champions at Parliament Hill.

Individually James came an impressive second while Lizzy claimed the women’s bronze medal. James was backed up by great runs from Jacob in 5th, Ollie in 7th and George in 16th to close out the scoring 4 while on the women’s side Claire came a brilliant 8th, Daisy 11th and Bethanie 12th. There was a strong turnout from both teams and we look forward to being back at Parliament Hill in February for the National.

Special mention goes to the Davies sisters who managed to fit in the race in between wedding dress shopping!

In what must be the strongest xc league in the country the Saltires had another strong set of results. Thames took 3rd place in both the men’s and women’s team competitions as well as 3rd women’s B team and 6th men’s B team.

Jeremy Dempsey led the men home in 2nd after contending with a dog racing in the lead pack for a significant portion of the race. Alex Howard also finished inside the top 10 with a great 9th place.

Lauren Major was our first woman home in 8th place, followed by Lizzy Apsley in 14th.

National Cross Country Relays Mansfield is alway National Cross Country Relays

Mansfield is always a highlight of the Autumn season with the iconic twisty and tough relay course. This year the Thames women’s A team made up of Ellen, Bethanie and Claire took 14th place in a high quality race. Abby also ran a great first leg for the incomplete B team.

Surrey League Round 1 We kicked off the 24/25 XC Surrey League Round 1

We kicked off the 24/25 XC season on Wimbledon Common this weekend with a great turnout from both teams. The Thames men had their best start to the season in recent years with a really strong 3rd place, led home by new signing Jeremy Dempsey in 6th.

On the women’s side Lizzy Apsley led us home in 10th for a 5th place team finish.

We look forward to a little bit more mud in round 2!
